This Privacy Policy describes how Frostskull AB ("we", "our", or "us") handles information in connection with Luma - Alarm Clock (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy.
1. Data we collect
Data stored locally on your device
The following data is created and stored exclusively on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers:
- Alarm settings (time, days, ringtone selection)
- Wake-up statistics (ringtone history, dismiss times)
- Mood logs entered after each alarm dismissal
- App preferences and configuration
Data collected automatically by third-party services
We use the following third-party SDKs which may collect data independently of us:
Firebase Analytics (Google LLC)
Used to understand how users interact with the App in aggregate. Firebase Analytics may collect:
- Device model, OS version, and language
- App version and session duration
- In-app events (e.g., alarm set, subscription started)
- Approximate location derived from IP address
Data collected by Firebase is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of analytics data collection in the App settings.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC)
Used to detect and diagnose crashes to improve app stability. Crashlytics may collect:
- Crash logs and stack traces
- Device model, OS version
- App state at the time of the crash
Crash reports do not include your alarm data, mood logs, or any personally identifiable information stored locally. Data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Subscription and payment data
If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed entirely by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
2. How we use data
- To operate and improve the App's features and stability.
- To analyze aggregate usage patterns and prioritize new features.
- To process and validate subscription entitlements via the platform stores.
- To identify and fix crashes and technical issues.
3. Data sharing
- Google LLC: Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data is processed by Google under their privacy terms.
- Apple / Google: Subscription and purchase data is managed by the respective platform store.
- Legal requests: We may disclose information when required by law or a valid legal process.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user data may be transferred subject to applicable legal protections.
We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Your choices & rights
- Analytics opt-out: You can disable analytics data collection in the App's settings menu.
- Local data: You can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the App or clearing App data through your device settings.
- GDPR / regional rights: If you are located in the EU or another jurisdiction with data protection rights, you may have the right to access, rectify, or erase data held about you. Contact us at the address below to exercise these rights.
5. Data retention
- Local data (alarm history, mood logs) is retained on your device until you clear it or uninstall the App.
- Analytics and crash data is retained according to Google's Firebase data retention policies.
6. Security
Your personal alarm data and statistics remain on your device and are not transmitted over the internet by us. We apply industry-standard measures for any data that does pass through third-party services. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
7. Children's privacy
The App is rated 12+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Firebase Analytics collects device-level data regardless of age — parents or guardians who believe their child's data has been collected should contact us and we will take appropriate action.
8. International data transfers
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data may be stored on Google's servers in countries outside your own, including the United States. By using the App you consent to such transfers in accordance with Google's privacy terms.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
